Desomorphine Synthesis Guide?

Anyone have a guide for the desomorphine synthesis + how to properly clean the substance afterwards? Not planning on producing on a large scale.

I think that such information is not needed here. Desomorphine is very destructive to a person.
In any case, if you are not convinced ... then the synthesis is very simple.
Look at the reduction reaction of ephedrine with iodine and phosphorus.

You need to replace ephedrine with codeine and you will get desomorphine.
Phosphorus acts as a reducing agent in this reaction, and iodine is a catalyst and creates the acidic environment necessary for the reaction to proceed, in which your codeine turns into desomorphine ...

Would you care to back that up by showing the mechanism by which this happens? To my knowledge, the only working synthesis involves three steps:

1. Codeine is treated with thionyl chloride to yield a-chlorocodide

2. a-chlorocodide is reduced (hydrogenated), giving desocodeine:

3. Finally, the desocodeines remaining methoxy group is demethylated giving desomorphine:

But hey, if there's a way to trim this down to 2 steps, or even one, I would be interested to see how that could happen!

plancklongDozens of ways to get the same substance. Each method has its own mixins and markers. The easiest method in my opinion is iodine + red phosphorus.
You can use any method you feel comfortable with.

The damage is caused by those people injecting them selfs with promethazine, acids and other stuff. The streat synthesis of desomorphine is actually really interesting because it doesnt just produce desomorphine, the mex thats produced there contains many morphinians that arent even known.
