Best solvent for 4-MMC synth

Whats the best solvent for making 4-MMC?
Benzene worked fine for me but I don't realy like to work with it.
DCM was a bit complicated. Nothing felt out after I gave HCl to it. Had to evaporate some DMC and cool it down.
Is toluene an option? What do you use?

This is the reason I like working with DCM:
Dichloromethane, commonly called methylene chloride, is a solvent that is widely used in chemical research and manufacturing. It is a highly volatile liquid (see fast facts table), but it is neither flammable nor explosive in air.

And it does not smell as strong as toluene

If bromination is involved, the following solvents are used
Glacial acetic acid, dichloromethane, benzene.
If your question concerns the amination reaction, the following substances are used
Toluene, dichloromethane, benzene.
If you notice, when performing bromination in dichloromethane and benzene, you may not extract 2b4mp and you may start the amination reaction.

thezerocokeI don't think you should care too much about toxicity. Yes it has shown Benzene is "carcinogenic", given when working in it every day in and out. I wonder why people are talking toxicity and shit while they're mixing all kind of hefty materials to making fucking drugs .
