In this thread I am going to publish the art of giving color to a drug. In general, this art or method adapts well to drugs such as A-pvp, BK-mdma, 4mmc, mdma and analogues of those previously listed. I have previously published a photo of beautiful colored crystals but some users have had doubts about whether the color of the product is due to overoxidation or some other problem in the synthesis that could have caused the product to acquire that color. Anyone who has extensive knowledge in chemistry will know very well that when it comes to pure and recrystallized substances the drug will be completely transparent white and would not have any other color (for example brown) as occurs with our appreciated drug mdma or bkmdma for example. .. Since when the substance acquires dark tones it is a symptom that it contains impurities and that although it is present in its purest form such as glass, it still contains impurities either in its synthesis or because it was started from a precursor of low quality and therefore contains impurities in the same way. But what happens when you have an ultra-pure product and you want to present it with colors?... This is also possible and many people might think that it is an impure product when in reality it is extremely pure. Based on the fact that we start with a pure product, its coloring is possible through a simple recipe that consists of recrystallizing your product by adding a piece of colorant. What dye and how to get a perfect homogeneous color? To carry out this process we must obtain a pure and white product in the crystallization phase once its hydrochloride or sulfate or the salt with which we are going to work has been formed. To do this, it is sometimes necessary to add ice-cold acetone to its salt until it is completely white. Otherwise, this method will not work well, since an impure or poorly washed salt will create a darker product in the recrystallization phase and that will affect the final color and you will never be able to obtain the desired result. Once we start with a white salt, we will simply prepare our mixture of selected solvents (water/acetone/ether or alcohol, among others) and we will proceed to heat the solvents previously selected and suitable for their purpose and once hot, a pinch of coloring will be added. food grade powder, the mixture is kept in constant stirring and its powder will be added in small portions until it is completely dissolved and homogenized by stirring, check that both its powder and its colorant are completely dissolved and there is not a single bit of powder in his flask. Once this simple process has been carried out, keep your flask immobilized for the duration of its recrystallization and the crystals that form will acquire the selected color. Now I am going to attach some photos of pure Methylone crystals in their original appearance and in their colored appearance, the product will maintain the same purity but the appearance may be to the consumer's liking, since we all know that giving color to things has always been a way to attract people and is another optimal form of marketing for business, and chemistry is no exception. GREETINGS AND BLESSINGS TO ALL BBGATERS!!

AcidosisWhy do I get bk-MDMA HCl that is bright white and crystalline after acidifying the base with a solution of HCl + acetone, although the pH should be 5, I don't know if I added more solution than normal or not enough , since it is difficult for me to differentiate the color in the pH measuring strips, but even so, according to Wikipedia, the bK-MDMA HCI must have that shape and color and why then when I crystallize-recrystallize said bk-MDMA HCl I obtain crystals with color orange or brown?
Appearance
Methylone in its pure form has the appearance of a fine crystalline powder, whitish or yellowish in color. On the black market it can be found in both powder and capsules, sometimes including other substances such as mephedrone or caffeine.
So if I get bright white crystalline methylone HCI, why after crystallization-recrystallization do I get orange or brown crystals? I think it is because I leave the methylone crystallized-recrystallized in the open air and dust and other particles enter or because I did not use good solvents, I use deionized water.
Thank you!!

antraxIf you already tried to wash your free base well before being acidified and wash your product (hydrochloride) with ice-cold acetone until it is completely white and it still remains dark in its pure crystalline form after a correct recrystallization, I can assure you that in that This is because the starting precursor contains many traces of impurities that result in a dark product.

AcidosisAfter the acidification of the free base, the methylone HCI comes out as it should, a bright white crystalline powder when illuminated with a light, the problem is after crystallization or recrystallization, which is when orange or brown crystals are obtained. , I do not wash the methylone HCl with cold acetone before crystallizing-recrystallizing it, I simply dry the methylone HCl with filter paper which I also use to filter the methylone HCl from the liquid that remains when the acidification is finished and all the HCl has come to the surface or is inside.
I prefer to leave the bk-MDMA HCl uncrystallized, since it also has a significant effect.
